Facilities
Our village hall provides an attractive multi-purpose facility for use by the whole village community.
The Main Hall measures approximately 6 by 12 metres with double doors from the entrance hall and a link through to the adjoining smaller Holbrook Room which measures 5 metres square. The two spaces are separated by a sound-proofed sliding door and can be used together or separately. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a serving hatch opening onto the Holbrook Room. The kitchen has a cooking range, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and large capacity water heater. Crockery, cutlery and glasses are available for hirers at no extra charge.
Separate Ladies and Gentlemen’s cloakrooms are accessed from the entrance hall and there is a further facility for those with disabilities.
Heating & Ventilation
The hall is centrally heated through a gas boiler. This is controlled by a thermostat located in the entrance lobby. There is no additional charge for heating but it is the responsibility of the hirer not to exceed reasonable levels.
The hall is equipped with a modern, fresh air, heat-recovery ventilation system which is adjustable according to the number of users.
Audio Visual System
The hall is equipped with an audio-visual system with a ceiling mounted projector and wall mounted screen and speakers. This system is available by arrangement and a fee of £10 charged. The hall benefits from recently installed acoustic panels in the ceiling. The LED lighting can be dimmed if necessary.
Staging can be provided if required.
Capacity
The maximum capacity of the hall for an informal gathering is 100. Chairs with padded seats are available for 70 people. Folding tables can seat 6 persons each.
Licensed Hire
The hall has a premises licence which allows for sale and supply of alcohol during specified times. Please read the additional conditions of hire if you would like to hire the hall under our licence. There is a £10 administrative fee for this facility.
